Plateau Red 2023
Our everyday red. Bright cherry, soft tannin, made for grilled meat and pepper.
Our flagship. Syrah from the old vine block, fermented with natural yeast and rested eighteen months in oak under the hill.
48 cases left from this release. Example stock for this demo.
Deep garnet, nearly black at the centre. The nose opens with dark plum, blackcurrant and a thread of woodsmoke from the barrel.
In the mouth it is full but not heavy, with ripe tannin, cocoa and pepper, and a long dry finish. Open it an hour before dinner, or keep it for eight to ten years.

Block one holds cuttings from Mazi Chukwudi's first vines of 1974. Yields are under a kilo per vine, so every bottle carries a lot of hill.
Smoke and spice meet a wine with the weight to match.
Rich, slow cooked meat softens the tannin.
Hard cheese from the estate kitchen board.
An hour in a jug or decanter helps the young 2022 open up. Older vintages need only a gentle pour.
We hold back stock for club members, so public orders are limited to twelve bottles per household.
Very. Ask for the gift box, which adds Grape Press, estate honey and a handwritten pairing card.
Velora wines are for adults aged 18 and over. We never sell or serve to anyone under 18, and we ask every guest to plan a safe way home.
