Directions
From Independence Layout
Head west towards the escarpment road. After the second roundabout, follow the brown signs for Velora Estate for 22 kilometres.
Turning off
Look for the stone gateposts and the line of royal palms on the left, just after the radio mast.
Parking
Free, shaded parking beside the press house, with space for buses.
By ride hailing
Drivers find us easily; ask the cellar door to book your return so you are not waiting.

Before you set off
Adults only for tastings
Bring ID if you look under 25. Under 18s are welcome on walks with Grape Press.
Traffic friendly times
Leave the city before 09:00 or after 10:30 on weekdays to avoid school runs.
Weather
Hot from February to April, wet from May to October. The cellar is always 17 degrees.
Power
Solar with backup across the cellar door, terrace and restrooms.
Food
Lunch Wednesday to Sunday. Small chops at the cellar door every day we are open.
Home safely
We can book a trusted local driver for your return. Ask at the cellar door.

Visiting
Can I visit without booking?
The cellar door shop and terrace are open to walk in visitors. Tours and lunch need a booking.
Is there a dress code?
No. Closed shoes for the vineyard walk, and something light for the heat.
Are pets allowed?
Guide dogs are welcome everywhere. Other pets may stay on the terrace on a lead.
