SC 03The storyboard

How a fix goes, in four frames

Most jobs are simple and quick. The trick is a proper fitting, a tidy finish and a pickup time we actually keep.

  1. Frame 1

    Drop it off

Walk in on Ring Road or send a rider. We tag your garment with your name and a pickup time.

  2. Frame 2

    Pin and chalk

You try it on and we pin it on you, so the change matches your body and your shoes for the day.

  3. Frame 3

    Stitch on the bench

Our tailors sew on solar backed machines, so a power cut does not move your date.

  4. Frame 4

Collect, or we ride it over

Pick it up pressed and bagged, or we deliver across Ibadan from a small fee.

SC 04Close up

A small workshop that sweats the small stuff

Tailorbird is named after the little bird that sews leaves together to make its nest. We are just as fussy. A hem should fall straight, a zip should not grin, and a let out waist should not show a ghost line where the old seam was.

Four tailors work at the bench on Ring Road, with a pressing table, an overlocker and a blind hem machine. We alter anything from school shorts to lace reception gowns, and we tell you honestly when a change is not worth the money.
