Scene 02The house
We began with one room of carpets in Ikoyi in 1995. Today the gallery holds nine hundred, and every one of them has been on our own floor first.
Silk Road Carpets is a family gallery. We buy directly from weaving workshops and trusted dealers, wash every carpet in our own wash house before it is shown, and keep a restorer on the bench five days a week. That is why we can tell you what is in a carpet, how it was made and how it will age in a Lagos home with air conditioning, harmattan dust and the odd spilled glass of zobo.

Try it at home
Our crew brings up to three carpets to your home for N50,000, refundable against any carpet you keep. We lay them, you live with them for 48 hours.
- 03
Pay your way
Card, bank transfer or POS. For carpets over N5,000,000 you can pay in three monthly parts through Receivly.
- 04
Placed and padded
We cut a natural rubber underlay to size, place the carpet, turn it to catch the light and take the roll away.

Cared for
Your first hand wash is on us after twelve months. After that we collect, wash and return on a schedule that suits you.
