Sixty cloths, most of them made by women whose names were never written down, hang in the long galleries this season. They come from Ibadan, Abeokuta and Oshogbo compounds, from family chests and from the museum's own store, where some have waited forty years for the right light.

The show is arranged as the dyer works: the plain cloth, the starch paste or the tied thread, the pit, the drying line. A short film shows Adebimpe Ogunleye, whose wall pieces close the exhibition, at her vats in Abeokuta. Timed tickets are ₦8,000 and include the whole collection.
