How we teach
Four habits in every classroom
Ask first
Lessons start with a question, not a summary.
Practise on purpose
Short, frequent tests that pupils mark and learn from.
Read widely
Every pupil carries a reading book and reads for 20 minutes a day.
Speak up
Debate, presentations and viva voce in every subject.
Science
Three labs and a robotics room
Physics, chemistry and biology labs with a technician each, and a robotics room open after prep. Pupils compete in state and national fairs every year.
Library
30,000 books, open until 21:00 for seniors.
Languages
English, Hausa, Arabic and French.
Careers
Guidance from SS1 with university visits.
How much homework is there?
Homework is done in evening prep, supervised by teachers, so weekends stay lighter.
Do you support pupils who need extra help?
Yes. Our learning support team works with pupils one to one or in small groups, at no extra charge.
