The room
Built for the hour after dinner and the three after that
Amber Room opened on Old Aba Road in 2021 with one idea: a place in Port Harcourt where you can hear the person next to you before eleven and dance after midnight. Low amber light, deep leather, a long walnut bar and a sound system tuned for both a quartet and a DJ.
Our bar team makes every syrup, cordial and garnish in house, from the zobo reduction in our sours to the tiger nut milk in our Kunu cream. The kitchen runs a proper grill until late, so nobody goes home hungry.

Walk-ins are welcome until the room is full. On Fridays and Saturdays a booking is the surest way in.
From the kitchen
A grill that keeps going until the music stops
Peppered snail, asun, suya-spiced skewers and a whole croaker fish with yam chips. Our sharing platters are built for the table, and the kitchen takes orders until an hour before close.

What guests tell us
We booked a booth for my sister's 30th. The host knew every name by the second round and the Jazz Sunday band played her song. Easy night, nothing to chase.
The mocktails are not an afterthought. My husband does not drink and he finally had more choice than I did.
Light cut across the whole street on a Friday and inside nobody noticed. The music did not even skip.

Old Aba Road, behind the filling station
We are five minutes from the Rumuola junction, with gated parking, security on the gate and a drop-off bay for ride hailing. If you are coming from Trans Amadi after work, the back road through Elelenwo is usually quicker after 6pm.
