Safaris from Yaba, Lagos, since 2011
Nigeria, wild, one day at a time.
We plan trips the way they are lived: as a line of days. Elephants on the Gaji river, mist on the Obudu plateau, forest in Gashaka Gumti. You choose the stops, we handle the road, the rooms and the rangers.
Gaji river, Yankari. Late February.
How a week feels
The journey, hour by hour
Every trip we run is written as a timeline before you pack. This is the Yankari wildlife week, the trip most people start with.
-
Day 1, 05:40
Pickup in Yaba before the traffic wakes
Our driver is at your gate while Third Mainland Bridge is still empty. Coffee, akara and a printed day sheet are in the seat pocket.
-
Day 1, 11:20
Abuja, then the long straight road east
A morning flight lands you in Abuja. From there our own vehicle, with a second driver and a cooler box, takes the road to Bauchi with one stop for lunch.
-
Day 1, 16:30
Warm water at Wikki
Before supper, the spring. Clear water at body temperature, palms overhead, baboons watching from the bank. It sets the pace for the week.
-
Day 2, 06:15
First drive along the Gaji
The best hour of the day. Elephants come down to the river to drink, waterbuck stand in the reeds and the guide cuts the engine so you can hear them.
-
Day 3, 13:00
The long, slow afternoon
Midday is for shade: a siesta on the deck, a book, a swim. The camp runs on solar with battery backup, so the fans keep turning.
-
Day 4, 19:30
Fire, stars, stories
Musa, our lead guide in the north, has seventeen years of stories. There is grilled guinea fowl, there is pepper soup, and nobody checks their phone.
-
Day 6, 18:00
Home by evening, photos sorted
We fly you back to Lagos and drive you home. By Monday your guide has sent the bird list and the best of the trip photos to your WhatsApp.
Where the line goes
Six wild places, one trip desk
Each place has a season. We only send you when the animals, the water and the roads agree.

Where you sleep

We do not own the camps. We work with six small, family-run lodges and we visit each one before the season starts: water, power backup, mosquito nets, first aid, the food. If a lodge slips, it comes off the list.

What people say on the drive home
We have done Kenya twice. Yankari in February, with Musa cutting the engine beside forty elephants, is the trip we talk about.
I booked Obudu for my parents’ anniversary. They came back with a canopy walk video and a new respect for my planning.
Our school group was 38 children and nobody got lost, sick or bored. The teachers want to go back on their own.
