As you scroll, a 3D camera flies over the Harbour Film City lot at night: past the six barrel roofed sound stages, over the lit harbour tank with its ferry set and crane, down the backlot streets, past the glass post house and out to the crew village, while two searchlights sweep the sky above the Ring Road gate.

03 · Backlot streets
Six streets you can redress in a week
Marina row is a 140 metre 1980s Lagos street with working shopfronts. Beside it sit a covered market, a colonial row, a compound, a modern estate street and a harbour quay that runs into the tank.
22 facades, 6 with full interiors, period street lamps and a bus stop. Plays 1975 to 1995 Lagos and most coastal cities. Redress from ₦1,500,000.
60 stalls under a steel canopy, a butcher's row and a drain that runs real water. Plays markets from Kano to Onitsha with a change of signage and goods.
Six 1950s government quarters with deep verandas and louvred windows, set back on a red earth road. Built for period drama.

Two copies, two buildings
Every card is copied to the post house and to the fire-rated vault before it is wiped.

Stories this lot has carried
Since 2021, 48 features, 19 series and more than 300 commercials and music videos have shot at Harbour Film City. A few of them:
Agodi let us build the whole palace at full height. On other lots we would have cheated it with two sets and a lot of prayers.
Bisola, production designer, example client
06 · Crew village
Sleep three minutes from set
64 twin cabins and 8 suites for heads of department, a canteen that serves 400 meals a sitting, laundry, a fitness room and quiet rooms for prayer. Your 6am call is a walk, not a Ring Road gamble.
Power you can forget about
A 1.2 MW solar field with batteries runs the lot by day. Two 1.5 MVA silent generators take over at night or in heavy cloud, with a changeover under 10 milliseconds. Twelve hours of power are in every stage rate.

The bookings desk answered on WhatsApp at 10pm, moved our build day and sent a new invoice before I slept.

Cabins clean, canteen food better than most hotels in town, and the generator never coughed once in 31 days.
