7 nights · Elysian Aurora
Gulf of Guinea classic
Four countries along the coast we call home: stilt villages, old forts, highlife nights and long sea days. From ₦2,950,000 per guest.
Day by day
The route
Lagos to Cotonou to Lomé to Accra to Takoradi. Times can change with the weather; the captain always chooses the calmer water.
Day 1: Lagos embark
Board at the Lagos cruise terminal on Victoria Island from 1pm. Your host checks passports in the lounge, luggage goes straight to your room, and the sail-away is at golden hour past the lighthouse.
Day 2: Cotonou ashore
Arrive at 8am. Take a pirogue across Lake Nokoué to Ganvié, the village on stilts, or walk the Dantokpa market with a host who knows which stalls sell the best adire.
Day 3: Lomé ashore
A short, bright day in a calm capital. The fetish market, the long beach road and a Togolese lunch of fufu and peanut soup in a family courtyard.
Day 4: at sea
A slow sea day: a talk from our guest historian, the spa, and dinner at Kola.
Day 5: Accra ashore
A full day in Ghana's capital: the Jamestown lighthouse, the arts centre, a waakye breakfast and the evening on the ship's terrace as the city lights come on.
Day 6: Takoradi ashore
The gateway to Cape Coast and Elmina, the castles of the old trade. A quiet, serious day with a historian on the coach, and time to sit with it.
Day 7: at sea
At sea all day. Cooking class with the chef in the morning, highlife in the Atlantic Lounge at night.
Day 8: Lagos home
Breakfast on board and off the ship by 9am. Your host can book a car or a connecting flight home to Abuja.

Questions
About this voyage
Anything else, ask the concierge in the corner or call a host.
Do Nigerians need visas for this voyage?
No. Benin, Togo and Ghana are ECOWAS countries, so a Nigerian passport valid for six months covers every stop. Guests from outside ECOWAS receive a visa checklist.
Is Cape Coast suitable for children?
The castle tour is serious and moving. We suggest it for children of twelve and above; younger children have a beach morning at Takoradi with Little Mariners.
Can we pay in instalments?
Yes. A 20 percent deposit holds the cabin and the balance can be paid monthly until 60 days before sailing, by card or bank transfer.
